Plano Symphony Orchechestra
What is it?
Facebook is a social networking website that is operated and privately owned by Facebook, Inc. Users can add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. Additionally, users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region.
How PSO uses it
The Plano Symphony's Facebook page will contain information such as the Symphony Calendar of events, as well as pictures from all Symphony events and concerts. Audiences will be able to comment about concerts, and Maestro Guzman, as well as musicians, will be posting insights into the music. Also, check often, because special deals and discounts will be posted via Facebook!

What is it?
Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to the author's subscribers who are known as followers. Users can send and receive tweets via the Twitter website, Short Message Service (SMS) or external applications.
How PSO uses it
The Symphony's twitter feed will be used to keep followers up to date on the latest happenings in real time from events, concerts, and festivals. Also, planosymorch followers will be alerted to special deals and discounts only offered in Twitter!

Linked In
What is it?
The purpose of the site is to allow registered users to maintain a list of contact details of people they know and trust in business. The people in the list are called Connections. Users can invite anyone (whether a site user or not) to become a connection.
How PSO uses it
Plano Symphony's Linked In profile will provide information about what the staff and musicians at the Symphony are currently working on. Information about how you can help with various projects, and the progress of projects, as well as general Symphony information will be posted there. And, as always, special deals and discounts for Linked In connection to the Plano Symphony will be posted as well.
