The Symphony Sampler Concert Program
"Send Me to the Symphony"
The Symphony Sampler Concert Program provides teachers with stimulating preparatory materials to teach their students about composers, as well as melodic and rhythmic themes. The program culminates with a concert at the beautiful Eisemann Center for Performing Arts. Plano Symphony musicians perform during classroom visits and provide the written program of concert music that the children will experience at the live performance on concert day. The instructional materials and musician visit enable teachers to make the most of their students' concert-going experience.

The series is divided into 2 series of 4 concerts each in Frisco and Plano. Children are encouraged to wear their favorite Halloween costumes and pre-concert activities are held that include the popular Instrument Petting Zoo, coloring stations and the favorite Conductor's station.
Four more concerts follow the Spooky Symphony in the family series that showcase the woodwinds, brass, strings and percussion.

Instrument Petting Zoo:
Our "Zoo" is a collection of orchestral instruments whose cases have been painted to look like different animals. Our "Zoo" gives children the opportunity to see, hear and play different instruments. Children can visit our "Zoo" at our Family Symphony Sundays Concerts, community festivals and other events for the opportunity to see, hear and play different instruments.
