Plano Symphony Orchestra
Presents
“A Beethoven Spectacular!”
featuring
Lucille Chung, Piano
What: The 2006-2007 Plano Symphony Orchestra season opens with a celebration of one of the
greatest composers of all time—Ludwig Van Beethoven. The evening begins with insights into the famed composer by Hector Guzman, then launches into a trio of some of Beethoven’s most powerful and heroic works. The performance features Dallas-based Canadian pianist Lucille Chung, known for her interpretation of the show-stopping Piano Concerto No. 5.
Guest Artist: Pianist Lucille Chung made her debut with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra at age 10 and received degrees from both the Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music by the age of 20. She now makes appearances as a concerto soloist and recitalist all over the world: touring Asia, at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and more. The Sunday Times has called her “a considerable artist, admirable for her bold choice of music.”
